Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure complete patient records, including demographics, allergies, and payer information. You will communicate with patients and physicians by phone, fax, or other means, and translate prescription information for dispensing software.

You may assist providers and insurers with triaging prior authorizations and support other pharmacy tech duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPhT certification and/or state licensure as applicable.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to work hours 8am–7pm Mon–Thu and 8am–6pm Fri; flexibility needed.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management and copay programs.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information and triage prior authorizations.
• Document prescription information and order setup accurately.
• Comply with applicable laws and maintain high ethical standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
