Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients, collect demographics, allergies, medication history, payer info, and more. You will translate prescription data for dispensing software and triage prior authorizations when needed.

This role supports physicians and insurance processes in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. Work hours align with department needs; strong communication and collaboration with pharmacists is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Some college coursework preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management and copay programs.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage assigned workflow queues and ensure accurate prescription setup.
• Document information clearly and comply with federal and state laws.
• Support other pharmacy technician duties as needed.
