Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients, ensuring complete records with demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information. You will primarily place calls to patients and providers and translate prescription information for dispensing software.

You will also assist with triaging prior authorizations and coordinate with doctors and insurers, while maintaining thorough documentation and adherence to laws and ethical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee's residing state's requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Hours of operation: 8am–7pm Mon–Thu and 8am–6pm Fri.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management, copay assistance, and billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Document information and prescription order setup thoroughly and accurately.
• Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and uphold high ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
