Job summary

Lumicera is expanding and hiring an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure that all pertinent patient information is captured accurately in the record. You will contact patients and providers via phone, fax, and other channels, translate prescription details for dispensing, and assist with prior authorizations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; state licensure may apply.
• Experience in pharmacy support or healthcare preferred.
• National CPhT or state registration may be required per state.
• Strong communication and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management and copay programs.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Document information and prescription order setup accurately.
• Adhere to applicable laws and the highest ethical standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
