Job summary

Lumicera is expanding its team and seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure complete records including demographics, history, and payer details. You will place and receive calls, coordinate with doctors and insurers, and translate prescription information into the dispensing system.

This role supports various pharmacy functions and triages prior authorizations as needed, working under the Assoc.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification or state licensure required.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support or healthcare experience.
• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Ability to work hours with varied shifts (8am–7pm, 8am–6pm on Fri).
• Adherence to compliance objectives and professional conduct.
• Collaborative and respectful interaction with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management and copay programs.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage assigned workflow queues and document prescription setup.
• Comply with applicable laws and maintain high ethical standards.
• Assist other areas of the facility as needed.
