Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure complete records including demographics, allergies, history, and payer information. The role involves coordinating with doctors, patients, and insurance for triage of prior authorizations and translating prescription data into the dispensing software.

The Intake Specialist I will place calls, respond to inquiries, and support various areas of the facility with pharmacy technician duties as needed,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• National CPhT registration and/or state licensure per resident state.
• Minimum two years of pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled hours with department-variant shifts (8am–7pm Mon–Thu, 8am–6pm Fri).
• Participate in and support compliance objectives; interact cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management, copay assistance programs, and billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues and document prescription orders.
• Adhere to applicable federal and state laws and uphold high ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
