Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to join our Patient Support team. Under the direction of the Assoc.

Manager, you will enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and verify that demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information are accurately recorded in the dispensing system. You will place calls to patients and providers, respond to inquiries, and help triage prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college preferred.
• CPhT registration/licensure required per state.
• At least two years pharmacy support or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management, copay support, and billing.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Document information and prescription order setup accurately.
• Comply with federal and state laws and uphold high ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
