Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and manage patient records with demographics, allergies, medication history, and payer information. The role involves telephonic outreach to patients and providers, translating prescription data for dispensing, and assisting with prior authorizations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee’s residing state’s requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled hours; shifts may vary by department needs (8am–7pm Mon–Thu, 8am–6pm Fri).
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services (care management, copay assistance, billing info).
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Document information and prescription order setup accurately and thoroughly.
• Comply with applicable laws and uphold high ethical standards.
