Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and compile complete patient records. You will contact doctors and patients, translate prescription details for dispensing, and assist with prior authorizations when needed.

Join our team to support patient care, handle inquiries, and help ensure accurate documentation in the dispensing system, while adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Some college preferred
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee’s residing state’s requirements
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred
• Hours of operation: 8am–7pm Mon–Thu and 8am–6pm Fri

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management, copay assistance programs, and billing information
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information
• Manage the assigned workflow queues
• Accurate and thorough documentation of information and prescription order setup
• Adhere to all applicable federal and state laws and ethical standards
• Other duties as assigned
