Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to join our Patient Support Services team. Under supervision from the Assoc.

Manager, you will enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and compile comprehensive records including demographics, allergies, medication history, and payer information. You will place and answer calls, translate prescription details for dispensing, and assist providers and insurers with triage for prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per state.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred.
• Able to work scheduled hours; shifts vary; 8am–7pm Mon–Thu and 8am–6pm Fri.
• Participate in compliance program objectives.
• Interact cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services (care management, copay assistance, billing).
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Accurate and thorough documentation of information and prescription orders.
• Comply with laws and maintain high ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
