Job summary

Float Health is hiring an Intake Specialist to manage new patient referrals and coordinate urgent start-of-care visits from a fully remote US base. You will connect specialty pharmacies, nurses, and patients using Zendesk, Google Suite, and Slack to ensure timely staffing and smooth care delivery.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, fast problem solving, and high organization in a startup environment. Weekend availability and PST hours support are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with medical scheduling.
• Ability to utilize multiple technology platforms simultaneously.
• Ability to manage inbound communication while supporting other tasks.
• Ability to type 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to digest and explain complex information clearly to all users.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate start-of-care visits using the Float Health platform and tools to match nurses to patients.
• Liaise between pharmacies, nurses, and patients to ensure timely staffing and care delivery.
• Respond to restaff and reschedule requests and communicate across channels (email, phone, chat, SMS).
• Work cross-functionally in shared queues and Slack to complete visit documentation.
• Prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks; learn new processes and technology continuously.
• Build positive relationships with peers at specialty pharmacies and contribute to pharmacy engagement tasks.
