Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and capture complete records, including demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information. The role involves calling patients and providers, translating prescription information into dispensing software, and assisting with prior authorizations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per state.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Hours of operation: 8am–7pm Monday through Thursday and 8am–6pm on Friday.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• The ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services which may include patient care management, copay assistance programs, and billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Accurate and thorough documentation of information and prescription order set up.
• Adhere to applicable federal and state laws and maintain high ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
