Job summary

Kemper is a leading insurer seeking a Sales Executive to act as a brand ambassador between the company and its partnerships and agency force. The role covers Chicago, IL and remote-IL work with travel to visit agencies and grow profitable revenue.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or 3+ years of sales experience, plus insurance knowledge and strong communication, time management, and data interpretation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or 3+ years of sales experience preferred.
• 1+ years Insurance experience preferred.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Working knowledge of insurance operations: underwriting, claims, marketing, and product.
• Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Effective communication skills and public speaking ability required.
• Must be flexible and a highly motivated self-starter.
• Intermediate to advanced ability to manipulate, segment and interpret report data through spreadsheets.
• Strong time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret statistical data from company reports and build action plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize and execute a plan to profitably grow the territory to meet/exceed premium and policy plans.
• Collect and disseminate market intelligence and trends to leadership, including competitive changes and opportunities.
• Engage in field visits with agencies and partners; plan visits with topics and actions in advance.
• Train agents on underwriting guidelines, procedures, programs, websites and rating tools.
• Maintain up-to-date records of field activity and agency changes; deliver reports and documentation on time.
• Participate in industry conventions, seminars, trade shows and agency-related events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
