Kin Insurance seeks an Insurance Counsel - Forms to own drafting of policy language for personal auto or property as Kin expands into new states and products. You will anchor one line and back up the other, serving as a legal adviser on form wording and regulatory expectations.

You will research statutes, draft filing-ready forms, review AI drafts for accuracy, and build reusable language to accelerate future state packages. This role is remote-first across states.

Qualifikationen

• JD required with 5+ years of policy form drafting experience.
• Experience drafting personal auto or property forms for multiple states.
• Ability to translate statutes into policy language.
• Experience drafting regulator responses and form filings.
• Advising internal teams on coverage interpretation and form wording.
• Proven track record delivering complete forms packages independently.

Aufgaben

• Research state statutes and translate them into compliant, clear policy wording.
• Draft responses to Department of Insurance objections on forms and advocate Kin's position.
• Provide legal advice on coverage interpretation and form wording to internal partners.
• Draft complete new state and product forms packages for your line of business.
• Perform first-pass legal review and escalate novel state law questions to Senior Insurance Counsel.
• Build and maintain base forms and reusable state kit for your line.
• Establish drafting standards and reusable language to speed future packages.
• Design and deliver internal training on policy forms and regulatory expectations.
• Serve as backup drafter for the other line of business.
• Identify legal risks in proposed product designs before drafting.
• Review AI-assisted drafts for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and update forms in response to statutes, DOI bulletins, and product changes.
