Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking an Insurance Counsel - Forms to drive the drafting of policy language for personal auto or property as Kin expands into new states and launches new products. You will serve as the drafting owner for your line, provide regulatory guidance, and review forms during DOI audits and market conduct exams.

You will anchor drafting efforts, back up the other line, and advise internal teams on coverage interpretation while helping establish scalable, compliant forms packages for

Qualifications

• JD degree required and 5+ years of policy form drafting experience.
• Experience drafting personal auto or property forms for multiple states.
• Ability to translate statutes into clear policy wording and respond to regulator objections.

Responsibilities

• Research state statutes and regulations and translate them into compliant policy wording.
• Draft responses to regulator objections and advocate for Kin's position on form wording.
• Provide coverage interpretation advice to internal partners and audits.
• Draft complete state and product forms packages for your line of business, ready for filing.
• Maintain and update base forms and state kits across Kin's lines.
