Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an experienced instructional designer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic training solutions for Ryder employees.

You will create learning content and testing, collaborating with SMEs to deliver customized learning strategies that align with Ryder’s goals and competencies. You will stay current with adult learning principles, develop proposals, and ensure solutions meet objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, education, instructional design technology or related area or minimum 8 years equivalent work experience in designing and developing e-learning/training materials.
• Master's degree preferred in related field.
• Five+ years in education or business environment.
• Three+ years designing/assessing/producing e-learning training materials; Experience with Articulate 360 Suite.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Knowledge of Storyline and other development tools.
• Knowledge of working with clients and subject matter experts to develop training strategies.
• Knowledge of analyzing information to identify needs and training requirements.
• Microsoft Office proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Creates learning content and testing aligned to Ryder's goals and competencies.
• Consults with SMEs and business owners to develop objectives, content, and evaluation strategies.
• Designs and develops learning project proposals.
• Ensures designs match objectives and outcomes; communicates innovative ideas.
• Keeps current with emerging trends in learning methods and practices.
