Job summary

Parts Town is seeking an Inside Service Technician (Tech Wizard) to directly communicate with end users and field technicians, providing technical support for warranty and non-warranty cold side foodservice equipment over phone or email.

On onboarding, you may earn CFESA certifications; the role emphasizes excellent customer service, problem solving, and the ability to troubleshoot using manuals and diagrams. A strong internet connection and proficiency with MS Word/Outlook are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in electric/gas appliance repair, refrigeration, or HVAC (or relevant training/schooling).
• Excellent communication, clear spoken and written English.
• Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate equipment information clearly.
• Provide technical support to end users and field technicians by phone/email (30+ cases per day).
• Use manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts listings to diagnose issues.
• Maintain customer call information in company database for future inquiries.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to recommend engineering changes and document failure rates.
