Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an Inside Channel Systems Engineer to work remotely with channel partners on the West Coast. The role focuses on end-to-end solution design, technical validation, and customer engagement across switching, wireless, routing, security, and AI-native networking.

The position involves enabling small partners through remote presales support, designing solutions, and helping with bills of materials and reference designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of networking systems engineering experience, ideally in presales or partner-facing role.
• Hands-on experience designing or supporting enterprise campus, branch, and data center networks.
• Background in network deployment, professional services, or technical enablement is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the technical competency and sales readiness of smaller partners.
• Provide remote technical presales support throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
• Help partners qualify opportunities early to focus on winnable deals.
• Assist with discovery, architecture, product selection, sizing, and configuration.
• Review solution designs, bills of materials, and technical proposals.
• Teach partners to build bills of materials, configurations, and reference designs.
• Answer partner questions on SKUs, licensing, and ordering; arrange access to remote demos and labs.
• Deliver webinars, demonstrations, workshops, office hours, and enablement sessions.
• Help partners position HPE Networking against competitors.
• Support customer presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
• Identify partner capability gaps and recommend training and certification paths.
• Work with Partner Account Managers to plan enablement and move opportunities forward.
• Engage TAC and elevate technical issues when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand partner capabilities and generate pipeline.
