Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role. You will assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, abstract and sequence from records, and lead QA with Level 1–2 coders. Strong communication and 3+ years inpatient experience are required, with AHIMA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience in a facility.
• CCS, RHIT or RHIA credentials preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.
• Abstract and sequence codes from patient records with precision.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 coders when applicable.
• Support documentation improvement and coding issue resolution.
• Maintain coding accuracy targets and MS-DRG accuracy rates.
• Adhere to site productivity benchmarks and collaborate with teams.
