Job summary

Datavant is offering a remote position for an experienced inpatient coder focused on ensuring accurate medical coding and documentation. This role involves applying ICD-10 codes and overseeing coding accuracy among junior coders while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient coding facility experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Accurately sequence and abstract medical codes from patient records.
• Oversee and audit the work of Level 1 & 2 Coders.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities.

CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification

Associate or Bachelor's degree from an AHIMA-certified HIM or Nursing Program
