Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our remote team. The role requires 3+ years in inpatient coding with proficiency in ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS and a track record of accuracy.

You will supervise Level 1 & 2 coders, drive documentation improvement, and ensure high-quality ADT documentation while meeting productivity benchmarks. We offer full-time remote employment with comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient coding facility experience
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
• Accurately sequence and abstract codes from patient records
• Oversee and audit the work of Level 1 & 2 Coders
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues
• Uphold a 95% coding accuracy rate and 95% MS-DRG accuracy
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks
• Foster professional communication with colleagues, management, and hospital staff
