• Minimum of two years inpatient records coding experience.
• Ability to perform functions in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy.

• Previous experience with an electronic medical record system preferred.

Aufgaben

• Code inpatient, observation, outpatient surgery, invasive outpatients, and ED records using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4, and UHDDS guidelines.
• Ensure accurate DRG assignments and compliance with AHA/AHIMA/UHDDS rules.
• Collaborate with CDI staff to clarify documentation.
• Maintain department competencies and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Input data into the computer system according to procedure.
