Virtua Health is seeking a part-time hospital medical coder to accurately review and code inpatient, observation, and ED records using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 conventions. You will ensure DRG assignments align with UHDDS guidelines and collaborate with CDI staff to improve documentation quality.

The role requires at least two years of inpatient coding experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Windows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years inpatient records coding experience.
• Proficient with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4 coding conventions.

Responsabilités

• Accurately code inpatient, observation, and ED records per AHA/AHIMA/UHDDS guidelines.
• Ensure DRG assignments are correct and support documentation.
• Abstract required data into the system following downtime procedures.
• Collaborate with CDI staff to clarify documentation and standards.
