Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Inpatient Auditing Specialist for a fully remote role with a flexible schedule. You will perform inpatient coding audits, provide detailed rationale, and educate coders while staying current on regulations. This PRN/20 hrs weekly support includes IA/IP auditing and spinal experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding and/or auditing.
• CCS certification required; RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy.
• Experience with Epic and Cerner EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient facility coding audits per scope of work.
• Provides detailed rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps up with regulatory changes.
• Organizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and turnaround.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA code of ethics.
