Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Inpatient Auditing Specialist to address coding quality, compliance, and education needs. This fully remote role with a flexible schedule supports auditing, training, and customer-focused solutions from your home workspace.

Requires 5+ years inpatient coding/auditing experience, CCS certification (RHIA/RHIT preferred), and proficiency with Epic and Cerner EMRs. PRN support and 20 hours/week are mentioned in the posting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS (required), RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Inpatient Facility coding audits according to scope of work, for onboarding, focused reviews or SLAs, using MS DRG/APR DRGs.
• Provides rationale with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to optimize workflow and turnaround.
