Qualifications

• 3–5 years of acute care coding experience.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 coding.
• Knowledge of coding compliance and denials.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes for inpatient accounts.
• Submit abstracts to billing system and ensure 100% discharge accounts coded daily.
• Collaborate with CDI, HIM and management; mentor and audit staff.
• Utilize EHR and computerized encoder tools.
