Requirements include 3–5 years in acute care coding, RHIT/RHIA or CCS credentials, and strong attention to detail, time management, and communication.

Qualifications

• RHIT, RHIA, or CCS credentials required.
• 3–5 years of acute care coding experience required.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Experience with inpatient coding workflows and denial management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient accounts per regulations.
• Apply CPT-4 coding on observation accounts when applicable.
• Verify and submit abstracted information to billing systems for claim submission.
• Maintain Coding AR goals by processing discharged accounts daily.
