Baptist Health System, Inc. is hiring a Full-time Inpatient Hospital Coder in its Appeals & Denials Department. The role focuses on accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and CPT-4 coding for inpatient and observation accounts, with external compliance and AR goals in mind.

Formación

• 3–5 years of acute care coding experience.
• Certified coding credential (RHIT/RHIA/CCS) required or in progress.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 coding conventions.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS diagnoses and procedures for inpatient accounts.
• Assign CPT-4 codes for Observation when applicable.
• Verify and submit abstracts to billing system for claims.
• Maintain coding accuracy to support AR goals and denial prevention.
• Collaborate with Management, CDI and HIM on coding documentation and training.
