Baptist Health is hiring a Full-time Inpatient Hospital Coder for the Appeals & Denials Department. This remote role requires coding accuracy per ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 standards, with collaboration across CDI and HIM teams.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years coding experience and AHIMA credentials (RHIT/RHIA/CCS). Work from home and contribute to billing success from multiple approved states.

Formación

• High School Diploma Required.
• RHIT or RHIA or CCS AHIMA certification required.
• 3–5 years coding knowledge required.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient accounts.
• Apply CPT-4 codes on Observation accounts when applicable.
• Verify and submit abstracted information to billing system for claim submission.
• Maintain Coding AR goals by efficiently processing discharged accounts.
• Coordinate with Management, CDI and HIM on coding documentation.
• Mentor Coders and CDI staff; assist audits and training.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, effective communication, and independent working style.
• Operate a computerized encoder and EHR proficiently.
