Baptist Health is seeking an Inpatient Hospital Coder to join our Appeals & Denials Department. The role focuses on correctly identifying and assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes for inpatient accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Requirements include RHIT/RHIA/CCS AHIMA certification and 3–5 years of acute care coding experience. Proficiency with a computerized encoder and EHR is expected; remote work is allowed in designated states.

Qualifications

• RHIT, RHIA, or CCS AHIMA certification required.
• 3–5 years of acute care coding experience.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding.
• Experience with a computerized encoder and EHR systems.

Responsabilités

• Identify and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes for inpatient accounts.
• Submit abstracted information to billing system for claim submission.
• Ensure coding accuracy for all discharged accounts daily.
• Collaborate with CDI, HIM and management; mentor staff; participate in audits and training.
