Requirements include 5+ years IP PCS coding, CCS certification, and preferred 3 years OP experience. The position starts immediately with an assessment test as part of the process.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of IP PCS coding experience.
• CCS certificate is required.
• At least 3 years OP coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine the complete medical record to determine diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures with high accuracy.
• Aim for optimal DRG assignments on each record coded.
• Maintain productivity and quality levels.
• Request additional information as needed for accurate coding.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines and share knowledge.
• Complete assignments as directed by management.
• Pursue continuing education.
• Collaborate with team to meet department goals.
• Handle special projects as needed.
