Utility Lines Construction Services (ULCS) is seeking a Transmission Line Estimator to own the estimating process for transmission, substation, and utility projects from opportunity evaluation to bid submission.

You will partner with Operations, Project Management, and leadership to shape pursuit strategy and develop executable plans for safe, efficient field execution. Remote position with preferred states AR/LA/MS/TX; nationwide considered with 10–25% travel.

Formación

• 5+ years of transmission line construction estimating experience.
• Experience with high‑voltage projects 69kV–500kV+.
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2Win and Excel/SmartSheet.
• Knowledge of transmission construction means and methods.
• Ability to develop quantity takeoffs from plans and specs.
• Experience with labor‑driven estimates for lump‑sum, unit‑price, or time‑and‑materials.
• Strong communication and collaboration with leadership teams.
• Field experience in utility construction is valued.

Responsabilidades

• Own estimating process from opportunity evaluation to bid submission.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, subcontractor estimates using appropriate tools.
• Analyze drawings, specs, contracts for scope, risks and pricing opportunities.
• Partner with operations, project management, and leadership to develop strategies.
• Conduct site visits, pre‑bid reviews, and client meetings to validate assumptions.
• Support turnover, change orders, forecasting and profitability improvements.
