ULCS seeks a Transmission Line Estimator to own the bid process from evaluation to submission for transmission line, substation, and utility infrastructure projects. You will help shape pursuit strategy, evaluate risks, and develop costed, executable bids for field execution.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in transmission line estimating, strong proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2Win, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Formación

• 5+ years of transmission line construction estimating experience.
• Experience supporting high‑voltage transmission projects (69kV–500kV+).
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2Win and advanced Excel/SMartSheet skills.
• Strong understanding of transmission construction means and methods.
• Ability to develop quantity takeoffs and labor‑driven estimates.
• Experience evaluating constructability, risks, and scope gaps.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with investor‑owned utilities, electric cooperatives, or MSAs is preferred.
• Field experience in utility construction is valued.
• Certifications such as PMP, CCP, PSP are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own the estimating process from opportunity evaluation through bid submission.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production estimates using applicable tools.
• Analyze drawings, specs, contracts to identify scope and risks.
• Partner with operations and leadership to craft competitive strategies.
• Conduct site visits, pre‑bid reviews, and client meetings to validate assumptions.
• Support turnover, change orders, forecasting, and continuous improvement.
