Job summary
Leidos Inc. seeks Senior & Lead Transmission Line Engineers for electric transmission design projects across HV and EHV systems. You will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI and related standards, develop plans, specs and procurement packages, and interface with clients and cross-functional teams.
Position offers 100% remote work within the United States with MT-aligned hours preferred. Requires 4+ years for mid-senior and 8+ years with 2+ years leadership for Lead, plus strong software proficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
- 4+ years in designing electric utility transmission systems.
- 8+ years for Lead level with 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Experience with NESC, ASCE, ACI, AISC and related standards.
Responsibilities
- Design HV and EHV transmission lines and associated systems.
- Review full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models.
- Prepare bidding documents, plans, specs, and procurement materials.
- Coordinate with clients and project teams, and manage travel up to 15%.
