Leidos is hiring a Transmission Line Engineer to design overhead and underground transmission systems for high- and extra-high-voltage grids. You will lead projects from concept through procurement, applying advanced modeling tools and industry standards.

The role offers hybrid and remote options with opportunities to mentor engineers, interact with clients, and deliver multi-disciplinary solutions for grid modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; EIT/PE preferred.
• Expert-level knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE; familiarity with NESC, ACI, AISC, ASCE codes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts into project scopes and client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Design overhead and underground transmission systems.
• Lead projects from routing and analysis to procurement and construction-ready packages.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage client interfaces on multidisciplinary teams.
