Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking Senior & Lead Transmission Line Engineers to join a dynamic team working on HV and EHV overhead and underground transmission projects. Responsibilities include applying NESC, ASCE and ACI standards, reviewing PLS-CADD models, preparing plans, specs, budgets, and proposals, and coordinating with clients and project teams.

Remote work within the U.S. is supported, with occasional travel up to 10–15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering with 4+ years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Lead level requires 8+ years in transmission design with 2+ years of leadership/mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Review full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models, foundations, material, plans and profiles, and construction packages.
• Apply knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC and ASCE code requirements to project work and construction documentation.
• Develop project scopes, budgets and proposals; coordinate with clients and project teams.
• Work in teams and independently; communicate effectively with clients and project staff; travel up to 10–15%.
