Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for HV electrical infrastructure projects, including substations, transmission lines, and BESS. The role is fully remote; interview will clarify location expectations.

You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, risk reviews, procurement strategy, and client coordination from concept through handoff, collaborate across engineering, operations, and finance, and drive value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, HV projects, estimating, or PM.
• 3+ years leading preconstruction activities preferred.
• Experience with substations, transmission, utility-scale solar, BESS, or industrial projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
• Familiarity with HV substations, transmission and distribution, interconnection, codes, EPC/design-build.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for HV projects from 12kV to 500kV+.
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies aligned with client goals.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception through turnover.
• Prepare cost estimates and analyze bids and designs.
• Manage procurement strategy and vendor proposals.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, and finance.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-time handoff to construction.
