Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for HV electrical infrastructure projects, including substations, transmission lines, and BESS. This role is fully remote with location details discussed in interviews.

You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, procurement strategy, and client coordination from concept through turnover, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget project delivery across nationwide operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• 7+ years in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or PM.
• 3+ years leading preconstruction activities.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects > $10M.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for 12kV to 500kV+ high-voltage projects.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop execution strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception to turnover.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates; review specs and bids.
• Analyze labor, equipment, and material pricing; maintain cost databases.
• Serve as primary contact with clients, utilities, and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and lead constructability reviews and VE initiatives.
• Develop detailed project schedules with engineering and procurement.
• Support procurement, solicit vendors, and evaluate bids.
• Ensure alignment between estimates, schedules, and plans.
• Facilitate handoff from preconstruction to operations.
