Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to design, configure, test, and commission high voltage SCADA systems for utility-scale solar, storage, and substations projects. The role supports EPC delivery under established standards and supervision, with travel and field work as needed.

The position offers a flexible work arrangement that can be fully remote or based in Bend, OR, San Diego, CA, or Raleigh, NC, with responsibilities including programming RTACs, HMI systems, and network

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience, with substation SCADA experience preferred.
Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and panel drawings.
Knowledge of protection relays and power meters.
Experience with Substation networking and point of demarcation coordination.

Responsibilities

Review SCADA system requirements for substations connected to utility-scale projects.
Support HV SCADA design development and drawings.
Verify substation points lists against relay and meter settings files.
Program and commission RTACs, Phasor Data Concentrators, and HMI systems.
Coordinate network settings and IP assignments for substation equipment.
Troubleshoot communication issues between substation devices and controllers.
Provide technical support for diverse substation configurations.
Communicate with customers, vendors, and field technicians during commissioning.
