Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to design, program, test and commission HV SCADA systems for utility-scale renewables and substations. This role can be fully remote or located in Bend, OR, San Diego, CA, or Raleigh, NC, with travel for on-site work as needed.

Responsibilities include reviewing system requirements, configuring RTACs, coordinating with utilities and field crews, and ensuring adherence to NERC and SOLV standards during project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience with substation systems.
• Ability to read electrical single-line, equipment and panel drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test and commission HV SCADA systems for substations and utility-scale projects.
• Program RTACs, Phasor Data Concentrators and HMI systems; verify network settings.
• Coordinate with utilities and field teams; ensure safety and compliance standards.
• Provide technical support during on-site commissioning and vendor coordination.
