Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to deliver intermediate engineering support for HV SCADA systems on utility-scale renewable projects. The role covers design, configuration, testing, and commissioning across substations, with responsibilities spanning from drawing reviews to field commissioning.

The position may be fully remote or located in Bend, OR, San Diego, CA, or Raleigh, NC, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience, preferably with substation SCADA systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (Singe-line, Equipment Layout, Diagrams).
• Knowledge of protection relays and power meters.
• Experience with PLC environments (SEL RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson RX3i) and SCADA networks.

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA system requirements for substations on renewable projects.
• Support HV SCADA design, development and drawings.
• Program and commission RTACs, PDCs, and HMIs.
• Coordinate network settings and IP assignments for substation equipment.
• Troubleshoot communication issues between devices and controllers.
• Provide technical support for diverse substation configurations.
• Travel up to 20% for onsite work.
• Ensure compliance with NERC and SOLV standards.
