Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to support design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of HV SCADA systems for utility-scale renewables and substations. Remote-friendly role with potential on-site work at Bend, OR; San Diego, CA; or Raleigh, NC, and travel up to 20% for field activities.

Responsibilities include reviewing system requirements, developing designs, programming RTACs/HMIs, and coordinating with network providers to ensure secure, compliant SCADA operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related discipline required.
• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience with substation systems.
• Ability to read electrical single-line and panel drawings.
• Knowledge of protection relays and power meters.
• Experience with SEL RTAC and acSELerator Quickset.
• Ignition SCADA or similar HMI software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA system requirements for substations tied to renewable energy projects.
• Support HV SCADA design, development and drawings to meet specs.
• Verify substation point lists against relay and meter settings.
• Program and commission RTACs, PDCs, and HMIs.
• Coordinate network settings and IP assignments with plant networks.
• Troubleshoot comms between devices and controllers.
• Provide technical support for diverse substation configurations.
• Communicate with customers, vendors and field staff for commissioning.
• Travel up to 20% for on-site work.
