Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to support design, configuration, testing and commissioning of HV SCADA systems for utility-scale renewables. Remote work is possible, with onsite travel about 20% to Bend, OR; San Diego, CA; or Raleigh, NC as needed.

You will collaborate with EPC teams, review drawings, program RTACs, PDCon and HMIs, and ensure NERC compliance while delivering projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years SCADA engineering experience with substation systems.
• Ability to read electrical single-line and drawings.
• Knowledge of protection relays and power meters.
• Experience with RTAC, SCADA software and HMI design.

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA system requirements for substations on renewables.
• Assist design, development and drawings for HV SCADA projects.
• Verify point lists against relay and meter settings.
• Program and commission RTACs, PDCon, and HMIs.
• Coordinate network settings and IP assignments for substation equipment.
• Troubleshoot communications between devices and controllers.
• Provide technical support for substation configurations.
• Report project status, risks and mitigations with PM.
• Ensure compliance with NERC standards and SOLV processes.
