Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to provide engineering support for design, testing, and commissioning of high voltage SCADA systems on utility-scale renewable projects. The role offers the possibility of remote work with occasional onsite visits to Bend, OR; San Diego, CA; or Raleigh, NC.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of SCADA experience and a strong background in substation automation. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical-related field.
• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical single-line drawings and panel diagrams.
• Knowledge of protection relays and power meters.
• Experience with substation SCADA integration and commissioning.
• Familiarity with industrial automation protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA).

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA system requirements for substations tied to utility-scale renewables.
• Support SCADA design development and drawings to meet specs.
• Program and commission RTACs and HMIs.
• Coordinate network settings and IP assignments for substation equipment.
• Travel ~20% for onsite work.
• Support project management with status reporting and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with NERC standards and company safety rules.
