Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for HV electrical projects nationwide. This fully remote role covers planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, risk, procurement strategy, and client coordination through turnover.

You will lead client relationships, pursue projects, and ensure alignment across engineering, operations, and procurement to deliver on objectives and provide safe, efficient handoffs to construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in CM or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 7+ years in electrical construction, HV projects, estimating or PM.
• 3+ years leading preconstruction activities.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, solar, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects >$10M is preferred.
• Familiarity with HV substations, transmission/distribution, interconnection requirements, and EPC/design-build.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for HV projects 12kV to 500kV+ and coordinate deliverables.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, and risk.
• Develop execution strategies aligned to client objectives and company goals.
• Act as primary preconstruction contact with clients, utilities, and stakeholders.
• Prepare cost estimates and analyze designs, specs, and bid documents.
• Develop schedules, monitor milestones, and identify long-lead equipment.
• Support procurement strategies and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Facilitate handoffs from preconstruction to construction operations.
