Job summary

Leidos seeks a Supervising Transmission Line Engineer to lead a remote, high-performing team in HV transmission design and modernization. You will supervise engineers across overhead and underground systems, applying NESC, ASCE, NEC and related standards from 34.5 kV to 765 kV, while fostering career development.

You will oversee staff performance, develop bids, and collaborate with clients to grow the book of work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of HV transmission design experience.
• PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE expertise required.
• EIT certification expected; PE a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership for client relations and staff mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple design teams on HV transmission projects for utilities.
• Lead staff development, performance reviews, and recruitment.
• Create proposals, define scope, and drive project execution and scope changes.
• Coordinate with clients to maintain strong relationships and growth opportunities.
• Drive continuous process improvements and automation across design workflows.
