GovCIO seeks a Human Centered Design & UX Analyst to support HCD/HFE across VA VHA Connected Health tools. Work spans discover to validate phases, eliciting user requirements and developing validated workflows for development teams.

This growth role involves creating journey maps, personas, wireframes, and usability studies, with strong emphasis on accessibility, VA design systems, and collaboration with cross-functional teams; remote within the United States.

Qualifications

Foundational understanding of human-centered design and UX principles.
Experience supporting qualitative research activities and synthesis.
Ability to produce and maintain design artifacts (journey maps, personas, wireframes).
Familiarity with collaborative tools like Mural; facilitation skills to grow.
Working familiarity with accessibility requirements (Section 508, WCAG 2.2).
Strong written and verbal communication; able to tell a clear research story.
Ability to manage deliverables in a fast-paced team with firm due dates.
Travel within continental US for onsite research and program events.

Responsibilities

Support HCD studies using interviews, focus groups, observation, and usability testing.
Plan and analyze user research to translate findings into recommendations.
Coordinate recruitment and schedules with VA leads for participants.
Develop and maintain artifacts: journey maps, personas, workflows, wireframes.
Support accessibility conformance in research, design, and reporting.
Prepare materials, agendas, and presentations on required timelines.
Collaborate with product owners, designers, and VA leads on roadmaps.
