Job summary

A La C.A.R.T.E. Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Manager Consultant to deliver comprehensive HR support for diverse client groups across industries.

You will work with our CHRO - Client Services and multiple departments to address HR needs, ensure legal compliance, and act as a trusted advisor across client organizations. The role offers remote work, exposure to a variety of industries, and opportunities to influence HR strategy and people programs while maintaining client-focused service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
• Expertise in CA employment laws required
• Experience with non-profit organizations a plus
• Proven experience in HR consulting or generalist roles, preferably serving multiple clients
• In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric approach
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand HR requirements, challenges, and goals
• Provide guidance on HR topics including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, compensation and benefits
• Develop tailored HR policies, procedures, and practices aligned with client objectives and legal requirements
• Assist in policy implementation and communication to ensure understanding and compliance
• Address employee relations issues including conflicts, discipline, and grievances
• Conduct investigations into workplace complaints and provide recommendations for resolution
• Support clients in recruiting and onboarding processes, including job postings and interview coordination
• Advise on strategies for talent retention, development, and succession planning
• Develop performance evaluation frameworks and assist in appraisals
• Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Ensure HR practices comply with legal requirements and assist in audits/investigations
• Identify training needs and develop customized training programs
• Facilitate workshops on HR topics to enhance skills
• Administer employee benefit programs and open enrollment
• Coordinate LOA/FMLA/STD/LTD requests
• Assess HR technology needs and recommend systems/tools
• Assist in implementing and optimizing HRIS and other HR software solutions
