Job summary

ALC, a fully remote HR services firm serving private and entrepreneurial businesses across the U.S., seeks an HR Manager Consultant. You will provide comprehensive HR support, advisory services, and compliance guidance for diverse clients, collaborating with CHRO - Client Services and other departments.

This role requires adaptability to various organizational cultures, strong policy development and talent management skills, and a commitment to confidential, high-quality HR service.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor's in HR, Business Admin, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in HR roles, preferably consulting or professional services.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
• Expertise in CA employment laws required.
• Experience with non-profits is a plus.
• Proven HR consulting or generalist experience and multi-client exposure.
• Strong HR knowledge, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Consultation and advisory services for clients on HR topics.
• Develop and implement tailored HR policies and procedures.
• Address employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
• Support talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
• Develop performance management frameworks and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws; assist audits and investigations.
• Identify training needs and develop programs; deliver workshops.
• Administer benefits and open enrollment; LOA/FMLA management.
• Assess HR technology needs and support HRIS implementations.
