Job summary

LAdmins_jobs, a U.S.-based company, seeks an HR Generalist to manage onboarding, payroll support, and daily HR tasks for its remote U.S. team. You’ll ensure compliance with federal and state rules and maintain confidential employee records and HRIS data.

You’ll collaborate with the U.S. operations, handle I-9 and E-Verify onboarding, and provide trusted employee support while keeping processes accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of HR experience for U.S. employees in a U.S. state (e.g., CA, NY, TX, FL).
• Hands-on onboarding experience with I-9 and E-Verify.
• Experience with U.S. payroll processes and platforms such as ADP, Paychex, or Gusto.
• Understanding of federal and state employment rules (FLSA, FMLA, wage, leave, reporting).
• Experience with HRIS and with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.
• Clear, written and spoken English for working with a U.S. team.
• Reliable internet and dedicated home workspace.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and Offboarding: Run full onboarding process from offer paperwork to I-9/E-Verify and orientation; handle offboarding.
• Payroll Support: Prepare payroll inputs, track hours, PTO, and deductions; coordinate with providers.
• HR Compliance: Apply federal/state rules, wage/hour, leave policies, postings, and reporting; flag risks.
• Employee Records & HRIS: Maintain confidential files and clean HRIS data for audits.
• Employee Support: Be the go-to for HR questions, policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
• HR Operations: Assist policy updates, handbook accuracy, benefits administration, and projects.
